HARVARD CLUB LUNCHEON

OCTOBER 2016
Even though we only had four classmates being able to attend (plus two spouses, Mills Ripley and David R. Baker), we all had a great chance to catch up with each other. The delicious three-course lunch was enlivened by the input of Mary Saunders, Art Curator for the Harvard Club, who described the provenance of many of the paintings and stuffed heads of wild animals.

There is a huge history for the Harvard Club starting when women were not allowed in, to a large oil portrait of the first woman president of the club. Things have changed since women had to use a side door and hide in the room assigned to them.

We thank Lois and David for arranging the delightful and informative event. We promise to get the date arranged earlier next year so more classmates can "save the date."

P.S. Mills enjoyed having the famous "Harvard Hasty Pudding" for dessert. They didn't have anything like that at Princeton.
